Picky Eaters Club

Our Picky Eaters Club is a play-based feeding class designed for children who are hesitant, selective, or anxious around food. Grounded in the principles of the SOS (Sequential Oral Sensory) Approach to Feeding by Dr. Kay Toomey, this class supports children in exploring new foods at their own pace through gentle, non-pressured exposure in a fun and supportive environment.

We integrate both speech and sensory integration principles to help children feel confident and safe around food. Through sensory play, structured food exploration, and social modeling, kids engage with new tastes, textures, and smells in ways that feel enjoyable—not overwhelming.

Caregivers are actively involved in each session and receive hands-on coaching, mealtime routines, and strategies to carry over at home. We’ll help you understand your child’s feeding profile and equip you with practical tools to reduce mealtime stress and support a positive relationship with food.

Whether your child is stuck on a handful of preferred foods, avoids entire textures, or experiences mealtimes as a battle, the Picky Eaters Club provides a warm, low-pressure space where progress happens through play, curiosity, and connection.

Supporting Your Baby’s First Words — Right Where It Matters Most

At Kin Speech Therapy, we believe the best place to build your baby's communication skills is right where you are — at home, in your everyday routines.

As a certified speech-language pathologist and a fellow mom, I offer warm, personalized in-home consultations designed to help you create a rich, language-filled environment for your baby or young child.

About our treatment session

  • Personalized

Our first sessions will focus on gaining a clear understanding of your current communication or swallowing challenges. From there, we’ll design a tailored treatment plan that reflects your individual needs, strengths, and goals — ensuring that every step we take is purposeful, relevant, and rooted in what matters most to you.

  • Targeted

Everyone faces challenges on the path to effective communication — but those challenges shouldn’t stand in the way of living fully. At Kin Speech Therapy, we’ll work together to identify what’s holding you back and build the skills you need to participate more confidently and meaningfully in your daily life, relationships, and routines

  • Integrative

At Kin Speech Therapy, our work doesn’t stop at the therapy table — it’s designed to carry over into everyday life. Through personalized strategies, collaborative problem-solving, and practical tools, we help you or your child apply new skills where they matter most: in conversations at home, moments in the classroom, mealtimes, and meaningful connections.
